Spring Gentian 1 and 2
Commissioned by Blackett's Medical Practice Darlington
Technique: hand woven tapestry
Size: 1100 x 700mm (each)
Woven on a wool warp - with wool and linen coloured weft threads.
These two tapestries have been created as a pair, to hang in the main meeting room at Blackett's Medical Practice. The flora represents 'Spring Gentians' – this rare plant dates back to the ice age and can still be found growing in Upper Teesdale.
