Woven on a mohair warp - with wool coloured weft threads

One of two tapestries commissioned for the boardroom of Jardine Insurance Brokers headquarters, London. The tapestries were conceived to hang as coats of arms within the room, with imagery reflecting the Scottish foundation of the company, together with its strong oriental connections. The commission comprised a total of thirty pieces of textiles for the building.
